Breakfast in a jar


Iā€™m guilty of skipping breakfast, I get straight into work in the morning and completely forget to fuel my body. If this happens to you as well, what works for me, is to prepare it the night before! Trust me, game-changer! These jars take 5 minutes to prepare and are so yummy and nourishing.

šŸ•˜ 5 minutes


Ingredients (for a 500ml jar):

  • 2 Tbsp chia seeds

  • Ā½ cup plant milk (I usually use coconut or soy)

  • Ā½ tsp sweetener of your choice (optional)

  • 1/3 cup of granola


Toppings for the Chia pudding, granola, fruit compote, peaches, hemp hearts:

  • Ā¼ cup of raspberry compote

  • 1 peach (I used flatto white peaches @yummyfruitco_nz ā€“ Gifted)

  • 1 Tbsp hemp hearts (@hemp.nz ā€“ Gifted)


Topping for the Chia pudding, granola, banana, blueberries, chocolate hazelnut butter, and hemp hearts:

  • Ā½ banana

  • 1/3 cup of blueberries

  • 1 heaped Tbsp of chocolate hazelnut butter (@smallbatchnz ā€“ Gifted)

  • 1 Tbsp hemp hearts (@hemp.nz ā€“ Gifted)


  • Fresh mint to decorate


Instructions:

  1. In a 500ml jar, place chia seeds and plant milk. Mix very well and place in the fridge for at least 1 hour.

  2. Once the chia pudding has set, place granola and the toppings of your choice.

  3. Store in the fridge for up to 5 days.

  4. Enjoy! šŸ’š
